The Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Inc. has selected Rose Hudson of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation for membership in 2023. C100 member Kellen Mathews, a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Adams and Reese, LLP, who nominated Rose for membership stated, “Rose is a dynamic, energetic leader who is a great addition to C100’s membership and will be a champion for the organization’s mission and goals.”
Ms. Hudson has served for 17 years as the President/ CEO of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation. Joining the Lottery at its inception in 1991 as Executive Resource Director, Ms. Hudson moved to the Louisiana Department of Social Services and later to the Louisiana Department of Education. She returned to the Lottery in 2000 as Senior Vice President to oversee human resources, statewide events, and governmental relations before becoming President in 2006.
Ms. Hudson has served as President of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) as well as the Multi-State Lottery Association, (MUSL) where she also chaired its Powerball Game Group. In addition to her industry leadership, Ms. Hudson serves on the boards of Investar Bank, Woman’s Hospital and the Junior League of Baton Rouge. She is also a board member emeritus of Mary Bird Perkins. Ms. Hudson was a member of Council for a Better Louisiana’s Leadership Louisiana Class of 2018.
Ms. Hudson has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Studies and Public Policy from Dillard University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management from LSU. She also has a Society of Human Resource Management’s designation, Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
