Cyber Range is set to prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals

Governor John Bel Edwards made an appearance in Bossier City Monday to announce the launch of CYBER.ORG's Cyber Range Pilot.

Cyber Range is a collaboration with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

"The future starts right here in Louisiana, and more precisely right her in Northwest Louisiana," said John Bel Edwards. "We can lead the way in educating students to be the next generation of leaders in cybersecurity."

The United States is currently facing a shortage in cybersecurity professionals with over 750,000 jobs vacant. With the urgent need to invest in the future cybersecurity workforce, Louisiana and CISA and the Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) teamed up to create the Cyber Range.
