Dr. Deiadra Garrett of Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s and Children’s Hospital Selected as a Member for the Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Inc

The Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Inc. has selected Dr. Deiadra Garrett of Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s and Children’s Hosptial for membership in 2023. C100 member Kellen Mathews, a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Adams and Reese, LLP, who nominated Dr. Garrett for membership stated, “Deiadra is a dynamic, energetic leader who is a great addition to C100’s membership and will be a champion for the organization’s mission and goals.”


Dr. Deiadra “Dee” Garrett, board-certified pediatric general surgeon, specializes in the surgical treatment of abdominal organs such as the stomach, colon, liver and gallbladder. Her practice focus includes minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and neonatal surgery. She sees patients in Lafayette and Lake Charles.


Dr. Garrett earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and later a doctorate in genetics from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, a surgery residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
