Tim Temple is currently President of Temptan, LLC., a family owned company that manages financial and real estate holdings.
Mr. Temple’s experience started within the insurance industry and is both broad and comprehensive. Born into an insurance family in DeRidder, La., he spent his formative years working in the family businesses, including Gulf Universal Holdings, which consisted of Amerisafe Insurance Company (workers’ comp) and Morris, Temple & Co., a Louisiana-based managing general agency which also provided loss prevention and third party administrative services.
Since graduating from Southern Methodist University in 1993, Temple has worked as an aide to Louisiana State Treasurer Mary Landrieu, an agent with Morris, Temple & Co. and a reinsurance intermediary. In 2010 Temple took a position with Hammerman and Gainer, a firm specializing in Third Party Administration and Disaster Recovery Program Management. During his tenure at HGI, Temple worked on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill recovery with Kenneth Feinberg. Tim eventually became CEO of HGI before going to work at Worley Catastrophe. At Worley Temple was Executive Vice President responsible for the company’s governmental and disaster recovery divisions. In 2017, Temple left Worley to work at the family holding company.
Tim and his family reside in Baton Rouge.
