Tim Barfield joined CSRS, Inc., a Louisiana-based design and management firm specializing in the delivery of infrastructure and facilities to public and private entities across the southeast as Executive Vice President in January 2016, where he will apply his extensive infrastructure planning and funding expertise toward the firm’s role as a fully integrated service provider.
Tim Barfield joins CSRS after serving as the Louisiana Department of Revenue Secretary, where he led approximately 700 employees tasked with handling more than $9 billion of annual gross cash collections. In addition, Barfield previously served as the Office of the Governor’s Executive Counsel and Louisiana Workforce Commission Executive Director, formerly the Louisiana Department of Labor, where he led the reform of the State of Louisiana’s workforce development system and its transformation into a modern workforce agency with as many 900 employees and an annual budget approaching $300 million.
Prior to his service in the public sector, Barfield served as a senior executive at The Shaw Group Inc., now part of CB&I, for more than 12 years – experience that includes four years as President and Chief Operating Officer for the publicly traded engineering, technology, construction, fabrication, environmental and industrial services company with 22,000 employees, 180 locations across the world and annual revenue growth from $3.1 billion to $4.8 billion during his tenure in this role. Barfield also served as President for Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc., a division of The Shaw Group, Inc. with more than 6,000 employees and $1.2 billion in revenues under Barfield’s leadership focused on providing a range of environmental engineering, consulting, engineering and construction, facilities management and remediation services.
