Glenn Pumpelly is president and chief executive officer of Pumpelly Oil Company, LLC, in Sulphur, Louisiana, and Pumpelly Tire Centers, Inc. in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Mr. Pumpelly is a second-generation petroleum marketer, as his father founded the company in 1937. Pumpelly Oil markets in Lake Charles, Lafayette and Eunice, Louisiana and Houston,Texas.
Mr. Pumpelly is a life-long resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated from Lake Charles High School and went on to earn a Marketing Degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.
Mr. Pumpelly is married to the former Audra Brannon and has five children, Gray, Claire, Anna Leigh, Jenna, and Natalie. They attend Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Charles.
Currently, Mr. Pumpelly serves on the boards of several charitable and professional organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of MidSouth Bank headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana (MSL); SWLHS-Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, chairman 2008; and McNeese State University Foundation – President 1999/2000. He co-chaired the Capital Campaign for the Economic Development Alliance of Southwest Louisiana and now serves on the Alliance Board of Directors.
Mr. Pumpelly has served as chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce Southwest Louisiana; campaign chairman of United Way of Southwest Louisiana; president of Louisiana Oil Marketers Association; chairman of Crime Stoppers of Southwest Louisiana; president of Children’s Museum of Lake Charles; chairman of Calcasieu Parish Heart Association; director of Foreman-Reynaud YMCA; director of Petroleum Marketers Association of America; Lake Charles YMCA; and chairman (1999-2002) of the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
