As Louisiana works through the impacts of Hurricanes Laura, Delta, Ida, and other unnamed storms, the Committee of 100 is working to support businesses affected and share resources available.

  • FEMA has a website for those impacted to apply for federal assistance.
  • DSNAP provides eligible households that do not receive SNAP benefits with help buying food due to lost income or damages following a disaster. Registration will speed up the process if DSNAP becomes available.
  • The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) is providing additional assistance to individuals and families impacted by the storm.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ temporary roofing installation mission, Operation #BlueRoof, is active in Louisiana following Hurricane #Laura. The following Louisiana parishes are currently eligible: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis and Vernon.

  • American Red Cross Safe and Well program allows those affected by disaster to let family and friends know they are safe. After submitting information (name, whether safe, location, contact information and a custom message), loved ones can search for people based on the information provided.
