BioWith over three decades of experience, Langenstein has extensive experience in taxation, real estate and both corporation and business law. He is also an honorary consul to the Republic of Korea, a member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council and sits on the board of several companies, including Koerner Capital, L.L.C.; IBERIABANK; Geocent, L.L.C.; IMI Investors, L.L.C.; IMC Investors, L.L.C.; and the Kavanagh Family Foundation.
Dedicated to his community, Lagenstein is a member of Governor Bobby Jindal’s Transition Team, the New Orleans Economic Development Advisory Committee and the Louisiana Children’s Museum Early Learning Village Steering Committee. Langenstein also serves on several non-profit and community boards, including New Orleans Academy for Science and Mathematics, the New Orleans Board of Trade, the Greater New Orleans Development Foundation and WYES-TV, among others. Of note, Langenstein is a 2004 graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and a former board member of the National Kidney Foundation. He also served as a New Orleans Public Belt Railroad commissioner from 2006 – 2010.
Langenstein earned a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans in 1977 and received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University and A & M College in 1974. Langenstein is a board certified tax attorney, a licensed title insurance agent and an inactive certified public accountant. He is admitted to practice law in Louisiana State Courts, the Eastern District of Louisiana’s Federal Court and the United States Tax Court.
