Bio
G. Lee Griffin joined Louisiana National Bank in 1962, becoming President in 1978. By 1983, Mr. Griffin was also named Chairman and CEO. Through numerous acquisitions, Louisiana National Bank grew to $6 billion in total assets in 1988. Lee Griffin retired from Bank One in 1999, but retained the title of Chairman.



Mr. Griffin was on the Board of Directors for VISA USA for 20 years; he served on the American Bankers Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee; and in 1997 he served as the President of the Louisiana Bankers Association. Lee served as Committee of 100 Chair and lead the SECURE (Select Council on Revenues and Expenditures in Louisiana's Future) effort in the mid-90’s. A graduate of the University of Texas in Economics, he also completed a Masters Degree in Economics at LSU.

Mr. Griffin continues to engage in numerous civic activities including the United Way, Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center among others. In 2012, Mr. Griffin received the Golden Deeds Award-- Outstanding Citizen of the Year. He is an active member of St. James Episcopal Church. He and his wife reside in Baton Rouge, LA.
