Kenneth Smith is the President and CEO of T. Baker Smith, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering, survey, construction management, and operations support. T. Baker Smith, with headquarters in Houma, Louisiana, has been offering clients superior integrated professional solutions for almost 100 years. Over the last 10 years under the leadership of Mr. Smith, T. Baker Smith has seen phenomenal growth with now over 200 associates in 6 locations across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. With a civil engineering degree from Louisiana Tech University, Mr. Smith is also licensed in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and land surveying in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, and Georgia.

Mr. Smith is also actively involved in the industries that TBS serves including the pipeline, industrial and oil and gas industries. He has served as President of the South Central Industrial Association, President of the Louisiana Pipeliners Association, board member of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association, board member of the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry, as well as, Houston Pipeliners Association, Louisiana Engineering Society, Louisiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors, and much more.

As a life long resident of Houma, Louisiana, Mr. Smith understands the importance of protecting the communities along the coast. He has become a leader on such issues across Louisiana and in Washington, DC where he has advocated for restoration and protection by wearing a life jacket to meetings with government officials to express the importance of protection before our residents have to swim their way to safety. He also is an active member in organizations dedicated to these efforts such as Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana and Restore or Retreat.

Mr. Smith has also been an active member of Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, Council for a Better Louisiana, and the Young Presidents’ Organization in Louisiana and Internationally
