Erick B. Knezek, PE, is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Truston Technologies, Inc. After graduating Lafayette High School, Mr. Knezek graduated from the United States Naval Academy with Honors in 1996, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering. He also earned a Masters of Engineering in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1997. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. Mr. Knezek is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class 19 and current participant in Leadership Louisiana class of 2015.

Mr. Knezek has over 19 years of ocean engineering, fabrication and marine installation experience and has significant experience with Department of Defense engineering services contracts. Mr. Knezek is recognized as an industry expert in anti-terrorist floating barrier systems and heavy weather mooring systems for the U.S. Navy. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Truston Technologies, he has built Truston to a work force of over 50 employees executing over $25 Million in contracts annually for Federal and commercial clients. Truston has permanent offices in LA, VA, WV, MD, CA, RI, MO, and customers in locations spanning the globe including North and South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and Asia.

Mr. Knezek was recently elected as the District 8 School Board member for Lafayette Parish School System. Mr. Knezek serves on the Board of the One Acadiana regional chamber initiative, and previously served as a 2014 Board Member for the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce holding the position of Division Chair for Small Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. He has been recognized by the Lafayette Chamber as a leading entrepreneur in Acadiana. He was selected as one of Acadiana’s “Top 20 Under 40” by The Daily Advertiser and The 705 Club in 2013. Mr. Knezek was also featured by The Daily Advertiser as one of the “Top Young Stars to Watch in the Oil and Gas Industry” in October 2013.

In addition to being a Board member for Big Brother Big Sisters of Acadiana, Mr. Knezek also serves as the President of the Board for the Acadiana Entrepreneur Group, a collaborative community of local business owners and entrepreneurs. Mr. Knezek also volunteers for the U.S. Naval Academy by serving as their Blue & Gold Admission’s Officer for the Acadiana area.

Mr. Knezek has also raises funds for and serves as a short-term mission team member in Central America. His primary passions for mission work include providing educational opportunities for orphans and housing for widows in Guatemala, as well as providing potable drinking water to those communities that have none.

A native of Louisiana, Mr. Knezek currently resides in Lafayette, LA with his two teenage children and is married to Mrs. Ashley Knezek of Lafayette.
