BioMr. Jelks is currently President of Franks Management Company, LLC. Franks Management Company is in the business of real estate investment, private equity and oil and gas exploration through various subsidiaries and affiliates. In addition, he also serves on the Board of Directors of four non-public companies: (1) Aeropres Corporation, (2) Brammer Holding LLC, (3) Argent Financial Group, Inc. and (4) TDX Holdings, LLC.
In 2005, Mr. Jelks retired after 28 years with the international accounting firm KPMG LLP, 21 years as a partner, where he served a variety of clients from public companies, closely held family businesses and highly successful entrepreneurs.
Jelks has a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a M.S. in Accountancy degree from the University of Houston. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Louisiana Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
Jelks also currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Alta and John Franks Foundation, and The Nature Conservancy of Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana statewide Committee of 100 and other community focused organizations.
In January 2013 Jelks was chosen as the “2012 Business Leader of the Year” by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. In October 2013, Jelks received the Alumni Award for Achievement and Merit from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
In prior years, Jelks has served various community organizations most notably: the Community Foundation of North Louisiana (where he is a past Chairman); the Board of The LSU in Shreveport Foundation where he is a past President; the Board of The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce where he is a past Chairman and has served as a member of the Senior Council; the Board and past Chairman of the Northwest Louisiana Economic Development Foundation (now the North Louisiana Economic Partnership); and the Board and past President of United Way of Northwest Louisiana, Inc.
Bobby and Jane (his wife of 40 years) live in Shreveport, Louisiana where they enjoy all the benefits of the great State of Louisiana
