Oric Walker

Oric Walker serves as Atmos Energy Louisiana division President. He has over 27 years of experience in the natural gas industry with demonstrated leadership in supervision, management, director, and vice president levels. Oric started his career with Lone Star Gas Company as a Meter Reader. He climbed through the ranks while gaining experience in operations, marketing, and public affairs.


During his tenure as Vice President of Marketing in the Mid-Tex division his team developed an innovative Growth Database to track information related to builders, developers, potential and new customers. In his role as Vice President of Public Affairs, Oric was responsible for enhancing the image and reputation of the company. He supported the community engagement and philanthropic efforts with a team of public affairs managers. Oric assumed the role as President for the Louisiana division on January 1, 2022. Atmos Energy serves over 375,000 distribution customers across the state of Louisiana.



Oric is passionate about leadership development and community involvement. He currently serves as a LABI board member. Oric served on many company and industry committees such as the Atmos Energy Culture Council, City of Dallas Economic Development Taskforce, Southern Gas Association Growth and Retention Committee, Junior League of Dallas Community Advisory Board, Dallas Regional Chamber Infrastructure Taskforce Co-Chair and United to Learn Advisory Council. He also volunteers his time on the Board of Trustees for the African American Museum in Dallas. Oric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
