Rodney Greenup

Rodney Greenup, Jr. is the president of Greenup Holdings, LLC., an industrial maintenance form that is focused primarily on providing general repairs, maintenance, supplies, safety inspection, quality control and support to chemical refineries in the Gulf Coast. He is also the president of Gulf South Engineering and Testing, Inc., a company that provides geotechnical engineering, environmental permitting and construction materials testing services to private commercial, Federal, State and local clients.

Rodney has more than two decades of experience in the planning and development of civil works projects, both with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as a Project Manager and other local resource agencies that assess environmental project impacts and mitigation. As the president of Gulf South Engineering and Testing and Greenup Industries, both MBE companies (Minority Owned), he has solid expertise and leadership to offer when the team commences work on improving development issues in the state of Louisiana.

Rodney was a founding principal and Vice President of Pontchartrain Partners, LLC., where he provided his project management services to the US Army Corp of Engineers. He manages over 75 professionals in the design and construction of $1.2 billion hurricane protection project for St. Bernard and Orleans parishes.

Before founding Pontchartrain Partners, Greenup was a Federal Grant program officer for the US Department of the Interior (Minerals Management Service) in New Orleans. As a program officer Greenup approved and monitored coastal restoration projects in the Gulf of Mexico region for the Coastal Impact Assistance program (CIAP). From 1991 to 2007, Rodney worked in the US Army Corp. of Engineers (New Orleans District) in various project and program roles, including Sr. Project Manager managing civil works flood control, navigation projects and management the construction of three projects.

Rodney attended the University of New Orleans for his undergrad and masters studies. In 1995 he earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and then two years later his M.S. in Engineering Management.
