Kenneth Smith

Kenneth Wm. Smith, P.E., P.L.S. represents third generation leadership of the firm bearing his grandfather’s name, T. Baker Smith, LLC (TBS). A Louisiana Tech University graduate, he is a Louisiana-licensed professional civil engineer, environmental engineer, and land surveyor. Additionally, he holds professional civil engineering licenses in fifteen other states. Affiliated with TBS his entire life, he has over 42 years of experience, working from field hand to his current position, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Smith is the lifeblood of the firm’s overarching purpose—to cultivate people by identifying and developing their talents and allowing them to perform meaningful work, ultimately providing stability for their families and improving their communities. He says, “If our associates grow, develop, and feel empowered, TBS grows—win-win.” 



Kenny is a member of several professional organizations and affiliated with many civic groups.  He serves on the Board of Directors for b1 Bank.  Mr. Smith is a managing member of a commercial real estate company, a residential real estate company, and a family charity.   

He is the husband of Sheri, father of 4 married daughters and a grandfather of 4 with another one on the way.  He is an avid fisherman and enjoys hunting and pretty much anything outdoors.
