David Aubrey

David J. Aubrey serves as the President of AT&T Louisiana, where he spearheads the company's strategy, policy, and corporate affairs activities while guiding governmental and community policy decisions. Collaborating with a team of 3,200 AT&T employees, Aubrey is dedicated to expanding modern, high-speed infrastructure across the state, with the ultimate goal of bridging the digital divide.

Prior to his current role, Aubrey served as the Regional Vice President of External & Legislative Affairs for AT&T Louisiana. He managed the external and legislative affairs team and supported the recommendation and implementation of AT&T Foundation grants, contributions, and memberships.

Aubrey's remarkable career began to soar at Grambling State University, where he was elected president of the Student Government Association and selected as the student member of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors. He graduated with honors in public administration in 1995. And at just 24 years old, Aubrey made history as the first African American mayor of his hometown, Homer, Louisiana, and the state's youngest mayor at the time.

Throughout his career, Aubrey has gained invaluable experience and honed his business acumen by holding various positions in the public and private sectors across Louisiana. He has served as the former executive director of the Strategic Action Council (SAC) of Northwest Louisiana, a regional business and civic organization, and as the founding managing director of the Minority Supplier Institute, an organization dedicated to helping minority-owned businesses secure contracts.



Aubrey's passion for serving his community is at the heart of his professional endeavors. He currently serves on the Louisiana Board of Regents, the Board of Directors for LABI, the Louisiana Committee of 100, the Grambling University Foundation, Friends of LPB, and the Louisiana Leadership Institute. Additionally, Aubrey holds the position of President on the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus Foundation Board.
