Blake Chatelain



Blake Chatelain is the President/Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of Red River Bank based in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Chatelain had 14 years’ experience with Louisiana banking organizations when he had the chance to lead the formation of Red River Bank in 1999. Today Red River Bank has 26 locations in Northwest, Central and South Louisiana and is one of the top 5 banks based in Louisiana with over $3 Billion in total assets and is publicly traded on the NASDAQ exchange.

Mr. Chatelain is a native of Bunkie, LA and started his college career at LSU Alexandria before transferring and graduating from LSU Baton Rouge with a B.S. in Finance. He has been married to Belle Caffey Chatelain for 33 years, and together they have 4 young men.

Mr. Chatelain is very active in civic organizations both past and present. He served on the LSU Board of Supervisors for 12 years in numerous leadership roles. He currently serves as ViceChairman of Louisiana Central, a regional economic development enterprise, and is on the board of Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). He has served on the Rapides Foundation Board, Rotary, United Way, and Red Cross. He is a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church.
